B.Ed. Programme Details

Eligibility for Admission to the programme

            A Candidate shall be eligible for the Degree of Bachelor of Education provided that she has taken the B.A or B.Sc., or a Post Graduate degree from a recognized University. The candidate should have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in the part III of the UG Degree.

Duration

                                                     

            The duration of study for B.Ed. programme is two academic years. The College works with a minimum of six hours per day.

            Minimum duration for School internship shall be for a period of 4 weeks for the first year and 16 weeks for the second year. English shall be the medium of instruction. Student teachers may be opting for English or Tamil medium for teaching practice. They may be opting either English or Tamil medium to write their theory examinations.
