"Honesty is the best policy “

             Educational Institutions teach more about honesty theoretically. Bon Secours College of Education decided to cultivate this quality among students through the “Honesty shop”.

            Dr.T.Arivalan, the Principal and Rev.Sr.Irudhayamary gave their permission and support to implement this programme. Mrs.J.Rajalakshmi, Assistant professor initiated and started the Honesty shop in the college premises.

            On 21.11.2016 Morning 10.00 a.m Dr.T.Arivalan, the Principal of the College inaugurated the “Honesty Shop” with the Blessings of Rev.Sr.Irudhayamary Administrator of the College.  Faculty members and the students actively participated in the inaugural function.

            Dr.T.Arivalan delivered the inaugural address and purchased the Thirukurral Book and contributed it to the Library of Bon Secours College of Education.

• Objectives of the Honesty Shop:
  • Practicing Honesty Behaviour
  • Creating Awareness of Self-Service Scheme.
  • Cultivating self-reliance, faithfulness..etc
  • Learn about the Rights and Duties of the custome
• Working Time: College Working hours
• Materials: Stationery items and snacks.
• Price List:Price List of the articles is displayed in the ‘Honesty shop Price List Board’.

 

• Maintenance:

           Needs and wants of the students list is collected earlier and purchased.  The day to day maintenance and Accounts are maintained by the students. B.Ed  First year students Ms.L.Stella, Ms.P.Vigneswari and Ms.T.Saranya  have taken the responsibility in running the Honesty Shop and they are functioning it successfully.
